As executive producer of Radiotopia from PRX, Julie Shapiro will present on podcasting as a genre of writing. Starting with defining “what IS podcasting,” Shapiro will then examine podcasting through a few different lenses: content, sound, metrics, industry, and emotion. The presentation will use examples from her work with such podcasts as Ear Hustle, 99% Invisible, and other Radiotopia shows.
