James Elliott will interview our guests Chad Cates, Stephen Duncan, and Mike Murray about their careers in Christian songwriting and publishing.

Chad Cates – Franklin TN native, Chad is an award winning songwriter.  He has had seven #1 songs and five Dove Award Nominations.  Chad has written songs for artists and groups such as Mandisa, Casting Crowns, Matt Wertz, Brandon Heath, Andy Davis, Jaci Velasquez, Steve Moakler, Rebecca St James, Selah, Salvador, Elenowen, and Moriah Peters, including the Dove award winning songs, Everything to Me(Avalon) and Lost(RED).  He’s had songs in Private Practice(ABC), Ghost Whisperer(CBS), and One Tree Hill(CW) and Pretty Little Liars(ABC).  He is married to Sarah.  You can find him at www.chadcates.net.

Stephen Duncan was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He became the first songwriting major to graduate from Belmont University and was the first ever recipient of the ASCAP music scholarship. Stephen Duncan serves as the Creative Director for Daywind Music Publishing. In his time at Daywind he has signed hit songwriter Sam Tinnesz who has written multiple Billboard charting songs for the group MIKESCHAIR. Stephen has landed cuts with such artists as Natalie Grant, Hawk Nelson, Hyland, Jamie Slocum, and MIKESCHAIR.  Stephen has toured with such artists as: legendary country music hall of fame artist Don Williams, hit singer songwriter Matthew West, and Jonny Diaz.
