Jeff Tweel | President

Jeff has a highly entrepreneurial spirit which has evolved over his 40-year career as a musician, performing artist, songwriter, producer, and music publishing executive in the music business. Jeff signed a major label recording contract with Warner Brothers as an artist in 1973 when he began his journey as a creator of music by writing, recording, and producing his own music. As a songwriter, he had #1 and chart topping songs by artists such as Kenny Rogers, Lee Ann Rimes, Lee Greenwood, Merle Haggard, Tammy Wynette, Willie Nelson, Tom Jones, and The Carpenters. Between 1975 and 1988, Jeff won several broadcast performance awards for songwriting. Jeff was nominated for a Grammy in 1979 with Kenny Rogers and Dottie West. During the 1990s Jeff became an Executive at three music publishing companies: the first being the then newly-founded Bluewater Music in Nashville, Jeff continued to gain executive experience at Austin-based Hamstein Music, and went on to Nashville’s Curb Records where he served as Senior Creative Director for eight years. Jeff has been a key figure in breakthrough achievement events for many songwriters, events which yielded multiple awards for these writers (including 2 writer-of-the-year awards in 1993 and 1995 and a most-performed song of the year 1994); he has contributed to the creative process with artists such as Tim McGraw, Billy Ray Cyrus, and LeAnn Rimes, just to name a few. As a result of his multifaceted career as a writer, musician, publisher, and producer, Jeff has over fifty #1 and Top 10 records. Jeff has developed key relationships throughout the music industry. Jeff will contribute his invaluable expertise to the success of TweelX
