Recent Belmont alums, Emily Weisband and Devin Dawson will be coming to campus to talk about songwriting to students. Signed to THIS Music Publishing, Emily Weisband has had songs recorded by artists such as the Josh Abbott Band, Lauren Alaina, and Danielle Bradbery. Devin Dawson recently got the coveted Taylor Swift approval after one of his mashup cover videos of her songs ­ ‘Blank Space & Style’ ­ was officially endorsed by Taylor when she tweeted that she was “Obsessed” with the video. It has since garnered over 24 million views on YouTube. Devin most recently signed a joint publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music & Neon Cross Music (Headed by ACM Producer of the year (Jay Joyce) and is set to start recording his debut EP.
