Join us for a conversation between two Belmont Music Business alums who have both been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame!

Hillary Lindsey has amassed 28 #1 country singles, five CMA Triple Play Awards, three Grammy Awards, CMA Song of the Year, three NSAI Song of the Year Awards, as well as multiple other awards. She received ASCAP’s esteemed Global Impact Award in recognition of the enduring worldwide popularity of her work. She was also awarded back to back ACM Songwriter of the Year awards in 2020 and 2021, as well as honored by the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum with her own feature in the American Currents exhibit. In 2022, Hillary was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2024.

Ashley Gorley has written a record-breaking 85+ #1 radio singles and has had more than 400 songs recorded by music’s biggest names, including Luke Bryan, Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, and more. He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York this past summer, celebrating his accomplishments behind hits like “Play It Again” and “Crash My Party” by Luke Bryan, “Last Night” and “Thinkin’ Bout Me” by Morgan Wallen, and “I Am Not Okay” and “Liar” by Jelly Roll. He was named Songwriter of the Decade at the Nashville Songwriter Awards for 2010-2019, and is an 11-time ASCAP Songwriter of the Year, with multiple Grammy, CMA, and ACM nominations and wins to his name.
