DEEP DIVE: Music Supervision

Want to learn how music is placed in a film, tv show, video game, or advertisement? Take a deep dive into the world of music supervision where Andrew Weaver (Creative Sync Manager at Visionary Media Group) will share the process behind putting music to picture and the legal steps to get songs approved. Prior to the event, you will play “music supervisor” and select a song to go along with a film scene. During the workshop, Andrew will share a few examples that the group will then discuss.

Limited capacity. Pre-work will be assigned upon RSVPing. Registration is open until 11/26 at 10am to allow time for pre-work.
Attending this workshop requires active participation. Must attend full hour and a half to attend. Curb College majors only.

ABOUT DEEP DIVE:
The entertainment industry is ever-evolving with new technologies, methods, and trends. Deep Dive, an industry expert-led workshop series, will help prepare students to enter the business.

This interactive workshop series is designed to teach up to 25 students a specific skill, trait, or area of the industry. The industry expert will develop an in-depth experiential learning workshop through some form of presentation of the topic at hand, followed by an activity, project, etc. By RSVPing to attend a Deep Dive workshop, students are committing to actively engaging and participating for the duration of the event.

Location and pre-work assigned will be shared closer to the event.
