Scot Sherrod, VP/GM of RareSpark Media Group, Inc., will discuss managing & developing a songwriter – and the differences between a writer developing on their own, early in their career, and having a “team” or someone else manage and develop them. Scott oversees day to day operations of RareSpark, including signing and developing talent. Prior to this, he spent 12 years at Major Bob Music, Inc., and 2 years at Muy Beuno Music Group helping to place hits by Kenny Chesney, The Dixie Chicks, Diamond Rio, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, and many more. Scot has also spent much time focusing on sync licensing and production.
